    Avaghon X29 touring bicycle

Real steel from Dutch bicycle manufacturer Avaghon, handbuild and customized at Bike4travel in Rotterdam.

The X-29 is a real allrounder. Whether you’d like to go bikepacking, do a fully loaded tour or speed down a mountainbike track, the X-29 has all the characteristics to make every situation a success.

Reliable high quality steel with the well-known Avaghon triangle built in the strong and stiff frame. The X-29 is a trekkingbike with a bit more mountainbike capabilities. Off road tracks are no problem for this bicycle. And that’s exactly what we like!

    Features:

Rohloff hub Shimano XT hydraulic brakes

    Tubus Logo Expedition rear rack

Gates Carbon belt Schwalbe Almotion 50-622 tires

    Tubus Tara Lowrider front

Currently we rode about 5500 kilometers on the Avaghon X29 and are very pleased with its riding capabilities, frame stiffness AND looks! We’ve done fully loaded on- and offroad trips, climbed steep mountain passes and rode easy, flat tracks in the Netherlands. In about 1500 kilometers we will write a full review, but here’s a heads up: we love the Avaghon X29!

    6 thoughts on wild camping

    by Bicycle Junkies

I have to admit, at first I was a bit scared. Pitching our tent in the middle of nowhere, feeling vulnerable and having visions of starring in the next ‘Criminal Minds’ episode… But we’ve camped at the most amazing places, seeing beautiful sunsets, enjoying a million stars and just us two to enjoy. What’s keeping you?

  • Looking back at our cycling experience in South America, Bolivia has definitely been one of the highlights . Why? The main reason is probably because it wasn’t ‘easy’. The altitude, the rough roads, the lack of hygiene all meant we had to work hard in this country. And I’ve said this many times before, but the toughest moments are the ones I remember best, make me the proudest and become the highlights of our cycling adventure. Enough said, just go cycling in Bolivia and don’t miss out on these 5 highlights.
